Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information Gathering Cloth collects when you use our studio or place an order, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and avatar from Google so we can identify your account.
• Project content — the names, dates, and relationships you enter in the studio, plus your cloth, fabric, and thread choices. While you’re signed out this is stored only in your browser; once signed in it is saved to our database.
• Order details — your shipping address, the design you ordered, and a record of your payment (handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
• Usage logs — basic technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

• To let you sign in, save designs, and review past orders.
• To produce, ship, and support your order.
• To send transactional emails — order confirmations and shipping notifications. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted third parties to run the site, and share data with them only as needed:

• Google — sign-in.
• MongoDB Atlas — hosted database.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Our print partner — receives only the artwork file and the shipping label needed to fulfil your order.
• Vercel — site hosting.

We do not sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep account and order records for as long as you have an account with us, plus the time required by tax and accounting law (typically seven years for transaction records). You can delete your designs any time. To delete your account and the rest of your data, email contact@gatheringcloth.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Email us at the address above and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your in-progress design. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
