Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Gathering Cloth (“Gathering Cloth,” “we,” “us”) and the design and purchase of custom tablecloths through our studio. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms.

The studio

Our studio is provided as-is, free to use without an account for designing your tree. An account is required to save designs across devices and to place an order. You are responsible for the names, dates, and other content you enter — please make sure they are accurate before you place an order.

Orders and production

After payment we prepare your finished design and review it by hand before production. You don’t need to do anything further once you’ve ordered. If we spot a problem with your design we’ll reach out using the email address on your account.

We aim to dispatch within fourteen (14) business days of your order, though times can vary with demand. We will let you know if your order is going to be unusually delayed.

Pricing and payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and shown at checkout before payment. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Worldwide shipping is included in the listed price.

Refunds

Our refund policy is set out in full on the refunds page. In short: you may cancel for a full refund any time before your cloth enters production. Once production begins, because each cloth is bespoke, we cannot offer a refund except where a cloth arrives defective or incorrect.

Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the family-tree content you enter. By placing an order you grant us a limited licence to reproduce that content onto a single cloth for fulfilment. The site, brand, and engine that renders the design remain ours.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to your use of the site or your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, data, or similar).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the most recent version. Material changes will be flagged before they take effect.
